SQream Unveils xDR Repository Solution for Telecoms at Mobile World Congress 2016

The Mobile World Congress 2016 officially opened its doors on Monday, February 22 and the air was electric with excitement. 101,000 people packed their way into the Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuic in Barcelona, 7,000 more people than 2015.
It was at MWC 2016 that SQream Technologies, software vendor providing a Big Data analytics database exhibiting new levels of speed, scale and simplicity, announced the launch of xDR Repository, the latest addition to its suite of high-performing database solutions.
With IP traffic, CDRs and location data being generated at unprecedented speeds and volumes, telecoms need to gather, store and analyze information so as to attain monetizable value from it in real time. xDR Repository is a high-capacity NAS dataset management storage system with high compression ratio capabilities.
The powerful engine allows any analytical tool to generate rapid actionable insights from months and even years of data, while eliminating the need for OLAP cubes.
Ami Gal, SQream Technologies’ CEO and Co-Founder said during an interview with Israel’s Channel 1 News that “We have developed the world’s fastest database, one that can handle huge data sets. Companies such as Oracle, IBM and Microsoft need to use a room full of servers to do what we can do with one small standard 2U server.”

SQream Technologies was one of over 140 Israeli companies that displayed their innovative products at the Israel Pavilion at this year’s Mobile World Conference.
The MWC is considered the largest and most important meeting for wireless computing in the world, and more than 100,000 visitors browsed among the latest gadgets created by 2,000 companies from around the globe.
The Israel Pavilion – MWC’s largest national pavilion for several years running – featured industry veterans and the most innovative start-ups to emerge from Silicon Wadi. The Israel Pavilion was one of the most visited areas of the conference, especially since Israel’s Foreign Trade Administration set up a full schedule of appointments for participating companies with potential partners for joint ventures.
Several of the largest global companies, including telcos, device manufacturers and TV studios, had fruitful meetings with their Israeli counterparts, taking the opportunity to cherry pick from the many solutions available.
More importantly, during the MWC, Israeli companies highlighted how the country is becoming a global leader in the Internet of Things (IoT). Israeli participants such as SQream Technologies demonstrated solutions from a wide variety of IoT verticals including Autonomous Cars, Mobile Health, Transportation, Smart City, Smart Home and many more.
