Sales Director, NY Area

SQream Technologies provides organizations with the most rapid, cost-effective, petabyte-scale Big Data analytics SQL database available on the market today.

We’re looking for an individual to become SQream’s representative on the East Coast (NY-based). The Sales Director, NY Area will implement SQream’s sales strategy and establish a foothold in the region. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, independent, passionate about technology and success-driven.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead sales activities from initial contact through closure and drive SQream Technologies penetration across the East Coast
  • Create and implement end-customer opportunities through sales and marketing activities
  • Lead channel/OEM partners recruitment and management
  • Understand customers’ business goals and needs, and deliver relevant solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key prospects, decision makers, alliance partners and industry experts
  • Identify new trends and analyze competitors’ products and activities
  • Provide feedback to marketing and sales teams while being intimately involved with strategizing and product development planning
  • Represent SQream at trade shows, conferences and meetings so as to initiate sales of the company’s product line

 

Knowledge and experience

  • Rich experience in selling sophisticated data-centric solutions such as business intelligence software, data visualization software, relational database management systems, data integration and/or ETL tools
  • Have an independent/consultative selling approach and be able to craft solutions that provide tangible business benefits
  • Record of closing new sales as well as increasing sustainable revenues within the company’s client base
  • Proven ability to close enterprise level deals
  • Display a good technical understanding as part of the sales process
  • Strong relationship-building skills, based on preparing and delivering presentations and negotiating with C-level executives

Position Overview

The role requires an individual with strong leadership, business, partnering, customer-facing and analytical skills who can become the key owner of SQream’s product and product vision. This individual should be very technical and business savvy with ability to leverage his/her proven expertise in SQream to foster a vibrant product ecosystem, help to build solutions from existing ideas and help to develop new disruptive ideas.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drives the company’s overall product vision
  • Helps define the company’s strategic direction, growth strategy and goals
  • Establish and evangelize a clear charter and product strategy for SQream
  • Define, communicate, plan and execute SQream’s product vision and strategy. This includes: prioritizing, determining resource and allocation needs, and strategic development from planning through accountability for delivering results
  • Provides industry-proven business and architectural advice to help prospects and customers achieve their strategic objectives and successfully adopt SQream’s big data solution
  • Communicates SQream’s technology strategy to investors, prospects, customers, employees and stakeholders
  • Leads efforts to identify new target products or markets
  • Forges connections that establish strong bonds as a trusted technical and strategy advisor with prospects, customers and analysts at both a CIO and CXO level.
  • Provides experienced support to create success across the company’s sales execution
  • Serves as an external technical face of SQream, engages with stakeholders in the community, and develops relationships with analysts, key technology partners and industry luminaries
  • Assesses technology of potential partners or acquisitions and build related execution plans

  • Oversees market and technical research including the competitive landscape to assess and identify customer business and technical needs

Skills and Knowledge

  • 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology and/or Software Engineering arena with at least 10 years managerial and strategic experience in the field of architecing data management solutions/databases/business analytics solution
  • Deep technical knowledge of large scale databases and BIt
  • Proven record of delivering measurable business value from IT at an executive level, bringing the benefits of technology to solve business issues
  • Proven record of delivering enterprise class architecture and solutions
  • Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table and be an advocate of SQream’s vision and value proposition
  • Deep knowledge of the following technologies: Database, SQL, Data Warehouse, ETL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra), In Memory solutions and standard & modern data processing frameworks (open-source, proprietary)
  • GPU processing/technologies knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong awareness of technology and technology trends in the big data market
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational delivery
  • Travel is an integral expectation of this position as the needs of our customers and our business demand
  • Domain experience in at least one of the following industries is helpful: financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications or retail

High-performance C++/CUDA Software Developer

Job Description

You will be joining our crack team of highly skilled C++/CUDA developers working on our massively parallel SQL query engine. Our team uses a mixture of leading open-source and in-house developed tools in order to develop a cutting-edge database which harnesses powerful NVidia GPUs.

As a team member, you’ll be involved in designing and developing new features for our core product, SQream DB.

Other responsibilities include maintaining existing code, integration with SQream’s in-house developed compiler (written with Haskell) and being part of an agile-driven code production environment.

Requirements

If you…

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in C++, writing and maintaining large codebases
  • Have thorough knowledge of multithreading, high performance code
  • Are self-motivated with self-learning capabilities
  • Are experienced with GPUs, specifically CUDA – BIG advantage
  • Are experienced with Linux and GIT – an advantage
  • Have good familiarity with SQL – an advantage
  • Have a high-level fluency in English

Sales Manager

Location: Israel, Europe potential travel

Responsibility:  

  • Generating new sales of SQream software in the Israeli & European market both to end customers and channels.
  • Lead Sales activities from initial contact until sale closure. This will include contacting new and existing clients face-to-face as well as via telephone and electronically.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key prospects, decision makers, alliance partners, local integrators and industry experts.
  • Analyze competitor products and activities and provide feedback into marketing strategies and product development.
  • Represent SQream at trade shows, conferences, and industry meetings to initiate sales of the Company’s products.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years’ proven sales and account management experience in Israel & Europe, specifically in complex software solutions for the Enterprise world.
  • Experience in selling Software to channels, distributers or OEMs, and ability to manage those channels.
  • Proven track record of closing new sales as well as growing sustainable revenues within a client base, and proven ability to close high value deals ($0.5M+).
  • Experience in the Data domain (Big Data, BI solutions, Data Base etc.)
  • Good knowledge of one of the following markets: Telco/Financial Services/Cyber Security/Healthcare and IT industry (General understanding of the technology and the platforms available).
  • Ability to demonstrate our software solutions as part of the sales process.
  • Strong negotiations & presentations skills and customer relations.
  • Experienced in building relationships, preparing and delivering presentations and negotiating at senior level.
  • Understands a consultative selling approach, able to work with colleagues within the client’s buyer network, and be able to craft solutions that will provide business benefits.
