Position Overview

The role requires an individual with strong leadership, business, partnering, customer-facing and analytical skills who can become the key owner of SQream’s product and product vision. This individual should be very technical and business savvy with ability to leverage his/her proven expertise in SQream to foster a vibrant product ecosystem, help to build solutions from existing ideas and help to develop new disruptive ideas.



  • Drives the company’s overall product vision
  • Helps define the company’s strategic direction, growth strategy and goals
  • Establish and evangelize a clear charter and product strategy for SQream
  • Define, communicate, plan and execute SQream’s product vision and strategy. This includes: prioritizing, determining resource and allocation needs, and strategic development from planning through accountability for delivering results
  • Provides industry-proven business and architectural advice to help prospects and customers achieve their strategic objectives and successfully adopt SQream’s big data solution
  • Communicates SQream’s technology strategy to investors, prospects, customers, employees and stakeholders
  • Leads efforts to identify new target products or markets
  • Forges connections that establish strong bonds as a trusted technical and strategy advisor with prospects, customers and analysts at both a CIO and CXO level.
  • Provides experienced support to create success across the company’s sales execution
  • Serves as an external technical face of SQream, engages with stakeholders in the community, and develops relationships with analysts, key technology partners and industry luminaries
  • Assesses technology of potential partners or acquisitions and build related execution plans
  • Ensures products deliver a high-quality experience for customers
  • Oversees market and technical research including the competitive landscape to assess and identify customer business and technical needs
  • Promotes a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-facing experimentation

Skills and Knowledge

  • 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology and/or Software Engineering arena with at least 10 years managerial and strategic experience in the field of architecing data management solutions/databases/business analytics solution
  • Deep technical knowledge of large scale databases and BIt
  • Proven record of delivering measurable business value from IT at an executive level, bringing the benefits of technology to solve business issues
  • Proven record of delivering enterprise class architecture and solutions
  • Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table and be an advocate of SQream’s vision and value proposition
  • Deep knowledge of the following technologies: Database, SQL, Data Warehouse, ETL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra), In Memory solutions and standard & modern data processing frameworks (open-source, proprietary)
  • GPU processing/technologies knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong awareness of technology and technology trends in the big data market
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational delivery
  • Travel is an integral expectation of this position as the needs of our customers and our business demand
  • Domain experience in at least one of the following industries is helpful: financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications or retail
  • Fluent (at a native level) English and a deep understanding of US business culture
Big Data Solutions Architect

Location: New York, NY, United States

Position Overview

The Big-Data Solution Architect is responsible for understanding emerging and evolving customers’ Big-Data Analytics models and requirements, able to articulately talk through, present and whiteboard big-data analytics concepts and approaches with customers and provide creative solutions utilizing SQream DB to meet customer needs. The Big-Data Solution Architect, will define and lead customers’ POCs and will be working closely with the North American Sales team, as well as the technical product team in the R&D center.

The Big-Data Solution Architect will play a critical, customer facing role that interacts with multiple teams within the organization. The architect is expected to positively impact the customer evaluation and buying experience and then be accountable for the end-to-end customer deployment and SQream DB usage experience with the full support of the company behind them. The architect must possess a broad technical background in databases and DWH solutions, including technical knowledge in Big-Data solutions.



  • Create, conduct and demonstrate SQream DB using relevant customers use cases and scenarios
  • Lead the POC process, identify and manage the challenges from a technical perspective to enable sales focus
  • Partner with customers, partners and sales executives to define the scope of work for successful pilots and sales campaigns
  • Partner with the sales and marketing team to identify new opportunities and revenue streams
  • Design a solution to meet customer’s requirements and specifying an implementation plan both on SW and HW level
  • Document the requirements and architecture of the solution and define end user POCs to test the architectures, usage models and corresponding SQream technologies in testbed or real end user environments
  • Attend meetups and technical events in the big-data space to extend SQream’ s DB product presence among the data-scientist/data-analysts community


  • Strong understanding of relational databases. Vast experience in data models and data modeling
  • Professional experience as a sales engineer or technical sales consultant working for a company selling sophisticated data-centric software such as business intelligence software, data visualization software, relational database management systems, data integration and/or ETL tools
  • Experience in Requirements Engineering, Solution Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment
  • A broad set of technical skills and knowledge across software, hardware, systems and solutions development and across more than one technical domain
  • Demonstrated experience in creating a product or IT solution in the area of Big-Data/Analytics
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
  • Ability to develop technical relationships with end-users, ISVs, OEMs and other platform architects and Proof-Of-Concept engineers
  • Good familiarity with Linux operating system, as well as scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl
  • Comfortable conducting per-demand technical workshops with customers
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to represent your company in industry standards organizations, industry technical forums and events
  • Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Travel is expected for customer engagements
High-performance C++/CUDA Software Developer

Job Description

You will be joining our crack team of highly skilled C++/CUDA developers working on our massively parallel SQL query engine. Our team uses a mixture of leading open-source and in-house developed tools in order to develop a cutting-edge database which harnesses powerful NVidia GPUs.

As a team member, you’ll be involved in designing and developing new features for our core product, SQream DB.

Other responsibilities include maintaining existing code, integration with SQream’s in-house developed compiler (written with Haskell) and being part of an agile-driven code production environment.

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in C++, writing and maintaining large codebases
