Technical Product Manager

About The Position

We are looking for a Technical PM that will lead competitors' benchmarks implementing best practices of SQream and competitors tools helping us create a highly scalable and extensible cloud-based and on premise DWH solution.

You will be part of our Product Team, working closely with our Delivery and R&D teams.

SQream is a startup (~100 employees) specializing in a SQL based Big Data Analytics Database. Our technology boosts analytics performance through massively parallel computing, using patent-pending GPU-based technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement of SQream products
  • Execute Benchmarks with competitors products
  • Responsible for technical specification (produce functional documents and detailed product requirements)
  • Contribute to overall data warehouse architecture, framework, and design patterns to store and process high data volumes
  • Integrating different Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide desired solution
  • Implement ETL tools for customized Big Data solutions    
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Delivery and R&D to ensure continuous improvement of SQream products

Requirements

  • 2 years working as a technical product manager 
  • 2 years enforcing agile methodologies​
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Good Experience with Linux and DB performance testing
  • Performance tuning for Big Data platforms and data modeling (optimize/rewrite SQL queries)
  • Technical background, primarily in cloud technologies
  • Familiar with different ETL tools (such as Talend, Informatica and more) and experience in implementing complex ETL processes 
  • Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
  • Tactical capabilities to manage time and content​
  • A positive, get-things-done, collaborative spirit that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and to maintain tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English 

Advantage:

  • Bachelor's/ MBA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. 
  • Certified/experienced Scrum Product Owner
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
  • Experience with different storage systems
  • Java/Python programming experience 
  • Cloud based Data Warehousing Applications
  • Experience with big data tools such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, snowflake, etc.
  • Experience with different BI Tools (like Tableau, Qlik, etc. )
  • Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O
