About The Position

We are seeking for a Helpdesk Technician who strives to work in a complex and changing computing environment to join our IT Infrastructure team.

As a Helpdesk Technician you will provide setup and maintenance to a reliable and complex technical infrastructure to effectively serve the entire organization, including installing, maintaining, deploying and troubleshooting systems; responding promptly and efficiently to internal customer’s problems and directly resolving the problems. 

Our ideal candidate will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; quick self-learner; be highly motivated to advance in the field, be a team player, with great communication skills, a genuine willingness to assist, a strong commitment to given tasks, and have a great sense of humor :).

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot the Linux operating system (RHEL,CentOS and Ubuntu mostly) and Windows on servers & desktops
  • Monitor system performance 
  • Provide IT support for the company infrastructure (hardware and software)
  • Provide support to internal customers
  • Maintain backups
  • Provide after-hours support, and on-call when needed

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems administration of Linux oriented environment
  • Working knowledge of shell scripting under Linux – BASH
  • Experience with different hardware (Dell, HP, Lenovo)
  • Networking knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
  • Excellent English & Hebrew communication skills

Advantages:

  • Experience with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, DNS/DHCP )
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies
  • Basic Windows administration experience
  • Python
  • Familiarity with Storage systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems -- Grafana advantage
